Kbstate is controlled via command line args, so the easiest way to use it is to create a shortcut to the EXE, then add the command line args via the shortcut's properties.
Numbers in brackets are the defaults ...
-d,<num> : fade out decay time (500, i.e. half a second) -p,<x>,<y> : window position -r,<x>,<y> : window size (600,55) -s,<num> : font pixel size (40) -w,<num> : font pixel weight (5)
To kill, move the mouse pointer inside the window and tap the Esc key.
